Printers – Setting default printer

 

 

Windows:

    • Click the Start button and type “control panel”

    • Click “Control Panel”
    • Go to “Devices and Printers”
      • Right-click on the printer you want to make your default
      • Click “Set as default printer”:

FileVision:

    • FileVision will print to your default Windows printer.

 

 

HAB:

    • Login to HAB and go to the Setup tab
      • Click Printer
      • Select the printer you want to make your default HAB printer
      • Optional: select the printer then click Setup to modify printing preferences (single-sided, etc.)

 

 

 

 

Word, Excel:

    • Word and Excel will print to your default Windows printer, but they will also remember the last printer you used to print a specific document. So, if you chose to print your timecard, for example, to a different printer, Excel will remember that setting the next time you print the file.

 

 

Outlook:

    • Outlook will print to your default Windows printer, but the default settings for printing from Outlook can be configured as follows:
      • Go to File->Print
        • Click Print Options
        • Click Page Setup:

    • Modify options on the various tabs (especially the Paper tab) then click Ok
