Remote Access – Remote Desktop via HFG-RDS02
Notes:
- The remote desktop server is used by staff working from home and offsite staff (i.e. staff at remote offices such as Maplewood Meadows, Village Oaks, etc.) to access HAB and FileVision.
Required workstation software:
- To scan, workstations must have the TSScan client installed.
Steps:
- Double-click the HFG-RDS02 icon on the desktop:
- If prompted by “How do you want to open this file?”, select Remote Desktop Connection then click Ok.
- If you receive a warning: "The publisher of this remote connection can't be identified. Do you want to connect anyway?", click Connect.
- Next, enter your username and password that you use to logon to the computer. If the wrong username is displayed (i.e. another person that uses this computer), click “More choices” then “Use a different account”.
- Note: if you are prompted to input your PIN, click "More choices" and enter your Homes for Good email and password.
- Click OK
- When finished, click the Start button in the lower left, then click the Person icon, and click Sign Out.
Dual monitors
To use more than one monitor with the remote desktop:
- Right-click the desktop shortcut and select Edit.
- Go to the Display tab and check "use all my monitors for the remote session".
- Under the General tab, click Save.
