1. Go to office.com on your computer and sign in, then click your initials or picture in the upper right corner and then click "View Account". Then, under the "Security Info" box, click "Update Info".
  2. Then make a note of what is showing right now so you can delete it later, should look something like this: 
  3. Then click "Add Sign-in Method" and select "Authenticator App" from the drop down menu and click "Add". Then you can open Microsoft Authenticator on your phone (blue padlock icon) and click next on your laptop and follow those directions to finish setting that up.
  4. Once you are done adding that app, you can delete whatever old method was on the list. You might need to change the "Default Sign In Method" in bold above the list of methods to the new one before it will let you delete the old one.
