In order to view files from Teams/Sharepoint in your File Explorer (manila folder icon on your laptop) instead of directly in Teams, you will need to create a shortcut to those Teams files. You will need to do this for each Team (and channel) you want to view the files from.
IMPORTANT: Deleting files from this shortcut WILL DELETE THEM FOR EVERYONE IN THE TEAM!
First navigate to the Files tab in the Team/Channel you want to get a shortcut to
Then you will need to click "Add shortcut to OneDrive" (you might need to click the Elipses, 3 dots, menu first)
Then you can go into File Explorer (manila folder icon) and click the OneDrive icon in the top left (you might need to scroll up though the other folders, it will be a blue cloud with your name and Homes for Good after it)
Then you should see a folder (that has an arrow in the bottom left) that says the name of the Team and Channel
It will take some time to sync these files, but you can now open this shortcut to view files from the Team/Channel directly in your File Explorer. Repeat these steps for each Team/Channel you frequently need to access files from.
IMPORTANT: Deleting files from this shortcut WILL DELETE THEM FOR EVERYONE IN THE TEAM!
If you need to remove a shortcut, right click the shortcut in your File Explorer -> OneDrive folder and select OneDrive and then Remove Shortcut.
DO NOT JUST DELETE THE SHORTCUT
